Jai Rodriguez’s career launched in 1997 when he was cast as Angel in Broadway’s RENT, becoming the youngest performer to take on a leading role in the show’s history. After a five-year run, Jai stepped into the national spotlight as the “Culture Guy” on the original Queer Eye, where he won his first Emmy Award and became a New York Times bestselling author.
Over the past two decades, Jai has carved out a unique space in entertainment, appearing in dozens of groundbreaking television episodes and films, including Bros, Uncoupled, Grey’s Anatomy, and High Potential. Today, audiences can see him in his recurring role as “Pietro” on The Young and the Restless.
David Hernandez first captured national attention as a Top 12 finalist on American Idol, where his powerhouse vocals and charisma won over audiences. Since then, he has performed on The Ellen Show, The Today Show, MTV’s TRL, and more, carving out a career defined by resilience, versatility, and artistry.
He has shared the stage with John Legend and Maroon 5 at President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Kick-Off Celebration, toured globally, and released original music that continues to resonate with fans worldwide. His single “Beautiful” reached the Billboard Dance Top 100, while projects like “Don’t @ Me”, “Boomerang,” and “When It Rains, It Pours” showcase his growth as a songwriter and performer.
On stage, David starred in the long-running Off-Broadway hit Naked Boys Singing, earning a Broadway World Award for “Best Performer in a Musical.” He has also built an impressive acting résumé, most recently starring in films, vertical shorts, and television, including his portrayal of Sal Mineo in the 2022 Paul Lynde Christmas Special by World of Wonder. He is also starring in the upcoming feature film Glamping, set to be released on Tubi at the end of October 2025.
Most recently, David released his latest single and music video “feel it all”, a raw and powerful anthem about recovery and survival. Available now on all streaming platforms, the project has received acclaimed reviews and continues to spark meaningful conversation.
A self-made artist with the rare ability to reinvent and endure, David Hernandez remains a dynamic force in both music and film—one whose impact continues to grow across genres and mediums.
